Garden lighting is all about painting a picture and highlighting features you may not ordinarily see during the day. Having elements of light and dark creates interest and contrast within the garden. The last thing we want in garden lighting is to be blinded by a light in our eyes. So where ever possible we ensure that lights are either discretely placed or mounted high enough so they are not within your normal line of sight. ![]() Flood lights do however have their place. If you are looking at security lighting LED flood lights are a very efficient way of providing illumination of large areas. They are also great for activity areas like tennis courts and swimming pools. We often recommend flood lights are placed over swimming pool and lawn areas so adequate light can be provided for safety. This is particularly important if kids are playing football on the lawn or sports in the pool. Overall, ensure that the flood lights can be controlled separately to your garden lighting and then you won't be compromising the look of your garden. If you are interested in our range of flood lights you can see them here otherwise please don't hesitate to contact us so we can help with your next lighting project.

Thanks for explaining that you need to find a way to light the yard without flooding away the relaxation and beauty of it. I would imagine that floodlights are more helpful for security than for landscape lighting. I wonder if the same service could provide both types of lighting for us? Comments are closed.
